Welcome to the Dobbs and Norris Family website.  This is an on-going effort to gather and share information.  Please sign the guest book if you happen to visit this website.  Your input and information are very important.

Much of the information is the work of a number of family members who dedicated their lives to gathering data.  Hard-working folks who we must all be indebted to.  Of special note was Ralph Morris and Gary Dobbs, who helped with 
the Dobbs, Prothro and Norris family information.  Another significant contributor to the Prothro side was Mr. G. P. Coulter and Mark Prothro.  Also, thanks to the Pierre Chastain Family Association who welcomed me home within their wonderful group,  Of special note were Mrs. Violet Cook.  Many thanks to Ms. 
Martha Hyde Wakefield for her help with the Cowart family information.  A 
special thanks to my beloved mother, Una Texas Norris, who always encouraged me to know your family.  

The information contained is always moving forward.  Every family member who makes a call on the website are welcome to share, correct and update any information they may have.
